DCDD organisation
Coalition
DCDD is a coalition of more than 200 members working or interested in the field of disability and development cooperation. More than 50 of them are a volunteer for DCDD. Click here for an overview of the institutional members and the individual members.
Foundation

Board

Office
DCDD has a small professional office in Utrecht with paid staff, existing of manager Roelie Wolting and office manager Monique Verwey. Click here for the contact details of the office.

Volunteers
Structure
DCDD has an extended volunteer structure. Together with the board and the international advisory council there are currently over 50 volunteers active for DCDD. DCDD volunteers work in different advisory and working groups and meet about 4 times a year. The most prominent task of volunteers are:
- Contribute to activities and targets of DCDD
- Develop and carry out expertise
- Networking
The DCDD office supports the working groups by organisational activitities, including planning, budget, facilitating of meetings, and facilitation of information from the bopard and other working groups. Working groups
Working group political action
The working group Polictial Action fulfills the general mission of DCDD: structural attention for disability in politics and policy. The working group focuses on policymaking authorities in the field of development in the Netherlands and Europe.
Working Group community based rehabilitation (CBR)
De working group CBR seeks to promote community based rehabilitation as a key strategy for inclusion within development cooperation policy. Through knowledge exchange, information, documentation and methodology development the working groups contributes to the discussion about CBR in developing countries.
Working group education
The working group education is focused on influencing the Dutch policy of development organisations that have programmes dealing with 'primary education'. The working group wants to change their policy in such a way that disabled children are included.
Working group disability en HIV/Aids
The first focus of this working group is to create awareness about the issue ‘HIV/AIDS and disability’ within the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation development-, disability-, and HIV/AIDS organisations. Secondly it wants to provide these stakeholders of tools and methods on how to include people with disabilities in their HIV/AIDS programmes. Different advocacy activities will be undertaken like the publication of articles, flyers and tools and organizing workshops.
