Publications in DCDD's project 'Nothing about us'

DVD 'Nothing about us' (2009) The film shows ten Dutch young people with a disability, ages between 17-23, who, on initiative off DCDD, travel to Ethiopia (October 2008), to ask attention for the shocking position of their disabled counterparts in Ethiopia.
Teaching materials about disability and development to be used at special schools as well as mainstream schools in the Netherlands. (2009/2010) The materials have been amended after the pilot phase. They can now be downloaded at www.dcdd.nl/default.asp?4089 and www.cmo.nl/nothingaboutus.

Universal Acces Now! (July 2008) A DCDD pubclication on the inclusion of people with disabilities in HIV&AIDS policies and programmes.

Human Rights for Persons with Disabilities (December 2006) Background paper on the raticfication of the UN Convention, by DCDD and the five Southern Partners.
DCDD Toolkit: Kom in Actie voor de Rechten van Mensen met en Handicap in Ontwikkelingslanden!
Deze toolkit stelt u in staat de Nederlandse regering op te roepen haar beleid aan te passen aan artikelen in het VN-Verdrag over de rechten van mensen met een handicap. Nederland moet ervoor zorgen dat een deel van de ontwikkelingshulp mensen met een handicap bereikt en niet langer overslaat. Zo voldoet Nederland aan haar verplichtingen volgens het Verdrag.

UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Reader
The CRPD reader, a CD-Rom, contains a selection of practical information on the CRPD such as manuals, handbooks and toolkits, published by a wide variety of organisations. DCDD did not aim to make a comprehensive compilation of the information available. Instead, a selection of materials has been composed that serves to support Southern and Northern organisations in the design and implementation of their activities regarding the CRPD.
