As part of the WeAreAble! programme, DCDD is delighted to invite you to our upcoming webinar on Engaging religious leaders in advocating for disability rights.

This webinar aims to motivate participants to involve religious leaders to create more awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities. It will provide practical examples and tools of how to work with religious leaders as well as give some basic background resources to further explore the topic. We will have guest speakers from the WeAreAble!, JISRA and Make Way consortia.

  • The Power of engaging Religious Leaders in promoting disability rights – experiences from Ethiopia by Sisay Mammo, Lead for Disability Inclusion at Tearfund Ethiopia (JISRA)
  • Practical tools to promote disability inclusion in religious communities – interview with Huib Cornielje, Enablement (WAA!)
  • Teaching the future religious leaders on disability inclusion – interview with Professor Esther Mombo, Circle of Concerned Women Theologians (Make Way)
  • Global Wrap-Up with Digital Goodiebag!
