The Dutch Coalition on Disability and Development was founded to combine the forces of individuals and development organisations to advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities in developing countries. DCDD operates mainly at the Dutch level, focusing on advocacy at the Dutch parliament and ministries, NGOs and the private sector. We aim to influence the Dutch development sector to ensure equal access to and inclusion in humanitarian aid, trade and development programmes of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Aid & Trade) and its partners. Unfortunately, at this moment, DCDD does not have the financial capability to give funding to other organisations or projects.

However, we can connect you with our member organisation(s) working in the same regional context. From our home page, you can find a world map, which shows all the countries where our member organisations work. By hovering your mouse over any country, you can see which organisations operate in that country. Additionally, at our member page, you can see each of our member organisations mission, expertise, focus areas and countries by clicking that member organisation you are interested in.

If you are working in the area of disability inclusion, a membership of DCDD would be of added value. A membership at DCDD enables you to broaden your network and to connect with other disability experts, advisors or organisations that work in the area of disability inclusion. As a member, you take part in our knowledge sessions and member meetings where you decide upon the platform strategies. Besides that, members are stimulated to set up or join working groups on themes of their interest.

DCDD highly values a safe environment for our participants and employees. As a network of participants we have committed ourselves to adhere to the shared values as described in the Partos Code of Conduct. For continuous improvement of our work, we are open to receive all type of complaints that regard our policies, activities, communication, or the conduct of our employees.

Complaints are handled by our Focal Person Integrity, currently fulfilled by our Board member Femke Ruinaard, who monitors compliance with the Partos Code of Conduct we endorse. In case you have a complaint regarding our policies, activities, communication, or the conduct of our employees, we encourage you to contact our Focal Person Integrity via complaints@dcdd.nl (kindly put ‘Complaint DCDD’ in the subject of the e-mail). Note that complainants will receive a written response within 4 weeks and that all complaints are taken seriously and treated with respect and confidentiality.
