The ‘Voices for Inclusion’ project focuses on learning between different types of marginalized groups in Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Nigeria, Indonesia and Philippines and aims to discover if collaboration between these groups can lead towards more effective influencing of policy and practices. During the first two days, participants will engage in workshops and discussions, they will pitch their projects and several awards will be handed out. There is an award of €5000,- per country for the most exemplary influencing practice, which has already been, or is currently being, implemented. It’s up to the winning organisations to use the price for further advocacy.
At the ‘Pushing boundaries in Advocacy for Inclusion’ conference on January 29, professionals, activists, policy makers, media and academics will exchange knowledge, experiences and emerging insights on advocacy for inclusion. Key themes are the success factors of advocacy, the importance of intersectionality and the roles of Northern and Southern organisations in advocacy networks.
Voices for Inclusion is a project of Lilianefonds, DCDD and Voice.
