CBM Global Disability Inclusion
CBM Global works alongside people with disabilities in low-income communities to fight poverty and exclusion and transform lives.
Mission:
Fighting to end the cycle of poverty and disability. We work with the most marginalised in society to: break the cycle of poverty and disability; treat and prevent conditions that lead to disability; and build inclusive communities where everyone can enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential.
Disability expertise:
All types of disabilities. We are partnership based, working in authentic partnership with the disability movement and with other key organisations at the local, national, and global level.
Focus areas:
Community Based Inclusive Development to establish the foundations for inclusion, improve access to inclusive education, employment and healthcare; Inclusive Eye Health and Neglected Tropical Diseases; Community Mental Health, Disaster Risk Management. All implemented through 3 main modalities: community field programmes, advocacy and inclusion advice to other organisations.
