ZOA

ZOA is an international relief and recovery organisation. We provide relief to people affected by violent conflicts and natural disasters in fragile contexts. But we also assist them during their recovery from the crisis. Inspired by our Christian faith, we provide assistance to the most vulnerable displaced people.

Mission:

We support people who suffer because of armed conflict or natural disasters, by helping them to rebuild their homes and their livelihoods and to live peacefully together in stable communities. By working alongside communities, we ensure people’s participation in rebuilding their lives and making them self-sufficient, living peacefully together in stable communities. To accomplish our mission, we work with a wide variety of donors and partners. Where possible, we enter into partnerships with diverse actors ranging from community based organisations and NGOs to governments and companies.

Disability expertise:

ZOA is working together with six organisations in the We are Able! programme that helps people with a disability achieve a sustainable, fully-fledged place in their community, so that they have greater food security. Gender, Diversity and inclusion is a cross-cutting theme in our strategy. As part of GDI, specific attention is given to ‘persons with disabilities’.
